New EU leaders visit Kyiv on their first day in office

The European Union’s new foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, and European Council President, Antonio Costa, arrived in Kyiv on Sunday in a symbolic show of support for Ukraine on the first day of their term.

“We came to deliver a clear message: we stand with Ukraine and will continue to provide all our support,” Mr Costa told accompanying journalists.
