The Brussels Prosecutor's Office is investigating a new attempted rape case that allegedly took place in the Brussels' Bois de la Cambre on the night of 21 to 22 November.
A young woman was allegedly harassed in the Bois de la Cambre on the night of 21 to 22 November, around 04:30, La Capitale reports. She had gone out at the Jeux d'Hiver nightclub and was allegedly attacked by a man on the way home.
"To guarantee the serenity of the investigation, the Prosecutor's Office will not comment further," said spokesperson Yasmina Vanoverschelde.
She was able to defend herself and run away, and managed to address a passing police patrol. The area was searched further, but no suspect was found.
At the beginning of October, it was already reported that four other investigations were underway into sexual offences that also allegedly took place in the Bois de la Cambre forest.
