A rare "marble" book, with only 40 copies in existence, will go up for auction in Brussels.
Arenberg Auctions will offer the Opera d’arte in forma di libro, a unique book with a marble cover weighing 25 kg, created in 2009 by request of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi for the G8 summit in L’Aquila, Italy.
This book is part of the national libraries of several world leaders including Barack Obama, Angela Merkel, José Manuel Barroso, and Nicolas Sarkozy.
It is the first time one of the 40 copies will be auctioned in Belgium. The starting bid for the auction is €50,000.
