The Brussels West local police seized 493 ecstasy pills during a house search at the end of last week.
The Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office reported the news on Monday. The suspect was released under conditions by the investigating judge.
Last Friday, a patrol noticed the man due to his nervous behaviour behind the wheel and him closely watching the officers. The patrol followed and stopped the man on Rue Emile Bossaert in Koekelberg.
"When officers asked him if he had any illegal or dangerous objects on him, he hesitantly admitted to having a packet of cannabis," the prosecutor’s office stated.
A body search and house search revealed 493 ecstasy pills, a 22.52-gram block of cocaine, five packets of cocaine, a packet of cannabis, a precision scale, drug packaging material, €6,450 in cash, and two smartphones.
The man was made available to the prosecutor’s office after questioning. An investigating judge released the suspect under conditions.
