A caregiver at the Namur Hospital (CHR) is suspected of stealing around €4,000 euros from an elderly patient by taking their bank card and PIN.
The suspect, who works in the geriatrics department, allegedly used the victim’s bank card multiple times to withdraw money, the Namur Public Prosecutor’s office reported on Tuesday.
The actions were captured on security footage obtained from banking institutions. A relative of the victim noticed the suspicious activity and filed a complaint on Monday.
The prosecutor’s office noted that this is not the first time the suspect has been involved in such activities, and authorities are actively searching for him.
