A large part of the German capital, Berlin, was without water on Tuesday night due to a burst pipe, according to the Berlin drinking water company.
The city's fire brigade reported a major rupture.
As a result, hundreds of thousands of Berliners are without drinking water, German newspaper Bild reported.
