Two women were the victims of a violent robbery and locked in their home in Lasne (Walloon Brabant) on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Walloon Brabant Public Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday.
At around 13:30 on Tuesday, an individual arrived at a house on Rue de la Gendarmerie in Lasne, claiming to be delivering a parcel. As soon as the door was opened, he and an accomplice burst in.
The two women – in their 60s and 70s – were immediately attacked and locked in a room in the home. At least one of them was tied up.
While one of the criminals watched over the victims, the second searched the entire building.
The suspects left the scene, taking items which have not yet been specified to the authorities.
Although the women were not injured, they were extremely shaken by the incident.
