A car with a Belgian number plate hit several people in the Dutch city of Eindhoven on Wednesday. Two people were injured and the perpetrator fled, Eindhoven's police confirmed.
The incident occurred just after noon on the Willemstraat in Eindhoven, the police zone overseeing crime in the Dutch city wrote on social media.
"A car drove into some people after a conflict," the police zone East-Brabant said. "The vehicle drove off and we are looking for it." The vehicle is a white Volkswagen T-Roc with a Belgian registration number.
It is currently unclear how many people were involved in the crash. Two people were injured. It has not been confirmed whether there are more victims, and what condition they are in.
"The investigation into this incident is ongoing," the police added. The incident is a pending case, and police have asked people who spot the vehicle to call the emergency number 112.
