The Royal Library (KBR) at Mont des Arts has announced the reopening of its museum in spring 2025.
The KBR Museum has been closed since 8 January 2024 due to renovation works.
The museum will reopen its doors on 23 May, kicking off with the exhibition 'Polyphonic Masters', a new musical experience inspired by fifteenth and sixteenth century polyphony.
"We tell how the Franco-Flemish polyphonists, like the Flemish Primitive painters and manuscript miniaturists, played a prominent role in the Low Countries in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries," KBR stated in a press release published on Thursday. "Franco-Flemish polyphony was the ultimate export product of its time."
Visitors can also view the handwritten manuscripts and texts of the Burgundian dukes in the museum.

A new lift will available for all visitors to the library and museum. The lift ascends to the roof of KBR, offering a panoramic view of Mont des Arts.
"On the way to the best view over Brussels, visitors can listen to the voices echoing in the vibrant and diverse capital," said KBR. "The rooftop terrace will feature an interactive installation showcasing the sounds of Brussels, making it the perfect warm-up for the masterpieces in the KBR Museum."
