Union Saint-Gilloise have loaned their Ivorian midfielder Lazare Amani to Standard Liège until the end of the season, with an option to buy, the two clubs announced on Sunday.
Amani, 26, initially joined Union on loan from Charleroi in July 2021 before signing permanently a year later. He arrived in Belgium in 2016 after leaving the Aspire Academy in Senegal for Eupen.
The Ivorian has played 145 matches for Union, scoring ten goals and providing 18 assists. This season, he has had only 456 minutes of play in 12 matches across all competitions and was not listed for the Europa League. Last season, he won the Belgian Cup with the Brussels-based team.
Amani also has seven caps for the Ivorian national team and was part of the squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2024.
