Belgian skier seriously injured after being hit by two men in Austria

A 31-year-old Belgian skier was seriously injured on Saturday on a blue slope in the Kitzbühel skiing area in Jochberg, Austria.

She was hit by two men who subsequently fled the scene, according to Austrian police. Authorities have issued a search notice to locate the individuals responsible for the incident.

The skier was being followed by her 32-year-old partner when the accident occurred. One skier collided with her, knocking her over, while another skier ran over her left hand and part of her face.

Both skiers fled and are now being sought by the local police. Her partner was unable to provide a description of the two men.

The woman sustained serious injuries. After receiving initial medical treatment, she was transported to St Johann Regional Hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later transferred to Innsbruck Hospital.
