The Mouscron-based company Roger & Roger, which markets Croky crisps, will invest €60 million in new buildings, new production lines, and further automation of its activities, reports the newspaper L’Echo on Friday.
Croky crisps currently make up 40% of the production at the factory in Mouscron (Wallonia), which now stands at 65,000 tonnes of potato and corn crisps.
Operating in 35 countries, Roger & Roger has become the leading European manufacturer of private label crisps, which refers to crisps produced for a specific retailer.
The company generates an annual revenue of nearly €300 million and employs approximately 450 people. They hope this new investment will create more jobs.
About twenty new employees, primarily in logistics and operator roles, are expected to be hired in the coming months.
