A "six flavour raclette" cheese platter sold by Carrefour supermarket has been recalled from shelves due to potential E Coli (STEC) contamination.
Jean Perrin, the company that produces the platter, issued the recall on Monday. The product is sold in some Carrefour supermarket dairy sections.
The product has the EAN code 3324440450957 and expiry dates ranging from 3 February 2025 to 16 April 2025.
Although the items have been removed from sale, some were sold before the recall was initiated. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and to either throw it away or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
For further information, consumers can contact Carrefour Belgium’s customer service at 0800.9.10.11.
Some strands of E Coli produce toxins that are severely infectious for humans.
