In the Port of Antwerp, customs officials have seized a significant cache of cocaine, according to the Federal Public Service Finance.
The 55-kilogram stash was hidden inside the engine compartment of a refrigerated container.
The drugs have now been destroyed.
The discovery was made on quay 614 in a container arriving from the Dominican Republic.
Authorities are continuing to investigate those responsible for the smuggling operation.
