"A dreamy start under a clear sky," the organisers wrote in a press release on Thursday. "We can't deny that the weather conditions are favourable during this long weekend," said organiser Claudia Engelen. Engelen also expects many hungry visitors in the coming days.

As well as the delicious dishes on offer, visitors can enjoy free cooking demonstrations and participate in workshops against the beautiful backdrop of the Scheldt.
