The release of the sixth edition of the game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) has been postponed to 26 May 2026, according to a statement from producer Rockstar Games.
The game’s release was previously slated for Autumn 2025.
The last version of this legendary computer game was launched in 2013, selling over 200 million copies and making GTA V one of the best-selling games ever.
In a statement, Rockstar Games explained that they need more time to deliver the quality “that you expect and deserve.”
Following the announcement, shares of Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, dropped by up to 16% on the US stock market.
