Israel approves plan to 'capture' Gaza Strip

Israel’s politico-security cabinet approved the expansion of the military offensive in Gaza, which includes the "capture of the Gaza Strip" and encouraging the "voluntary departure" of Gazans from the Palestinian territory.

The news is according to an official Israeli source, reporting from an overnight cabinet meeting from Sunday to Monday.

The plan involves the capture and control of areas within the Gaza Strip, the source stated in a press release.

During the meeting, the Israeli Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to the Trump plan, which seeks to facilitate the voluntary relocation of Gaza’s residents, with ongoing negotiations on the matter.

This proposal had previously provoked an international outcry.
