Four in ten Belgians never use artificial intelligence (AI) in their work, according to a survey conducted by Cefora, the sector fund for workers of the joint committee 200, as reported by La Libre Belgique on Tuesday.
Around 40% of respondents said they never use AI in their work, and 25% admitted to having no knowledge of the technology.
Only 8% use AI daily, primarily for tasks such as translation, research, information synthesis, text writing, and editing.
Olivier Lambert pointed out that many workers use AI without realising it, through actions such as translating with Google or using a spell checker.
The Cefora study, which represents over 500,000 employees and 60,000 companies in Belgium, found that 66% of workers are actively seeking AI training.
They are particularly interested in learning how AI can boost productivity, assist in foreign language text writing, or simply understanding how AI functions.
