A festive event is scheduled for 10 May in Liège to celebrate the commercial launch of the tram and the deployment of a new bus network, according to a report from TEC on Tuesday.

The commercial launch of the Liège tram took place on 28 April. To commemorate the return of the tram to Liège, along with the rollout of a new bus network, TEC and its partners are organising a festive day on Saturday, 10 May, starting at 14:00.

Beyond entertainment activities, the public will have the chance to explore routes by boarding buses and trams for free on that day.

Throughout the tram route and surrounding areas, from Ferrer Station (Place Ferrer) to Droixhe, there will be musical performances by local groups and artists at various locations.

The route will also feature dance demonstrations, artistic interventions, projections, and exhibitions.

Although the event is intended to be public, free, and festive, it occurs amidst growing discontent from users who feel disadvantaged by the reorganisation of the Liège bus network.
