The Flemish government’s economic fund, Screen Flanders, is set to invest two million euros in seven audiovisual productions, the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF) announced on Sunday.

The funding will support two fiction films, four fiction series, and one animated film.

The two fiction films receiving support are “The False Evening” by Michaël Roskam and “Mary Rose” by Irish director Colm Bairéad.

Investment will also go towards four fiction series: “Die Düsteren”, “Die Flut”, “Beats of Love”, and “Tien kleine broeders”, as well as the animated film “Ploey 2: The Legend of the Winds”.

These seven productions are expected to generate over 15.7 million euros in eligible expenses related to audiovisual works in the Flemish region.

The funding amounts awarded per project range from 100,000 to 400,000 euros.
