A significant fire broke out in a penthouse on the seventh floor of an apartment building in Uccle late at night, around 1:30 on Saturday, as reported by the Brussels fire brigade.

Fearing the possibility of casualties, the fire brigade responded with a large presence, according to spokesman Walter Derieuw. Fortunately, all residents were able to evacuate in time, and no one was injured.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the apartment and terrace engulfed in flames. The exact cause remains unknown, though it is suspected to be an accident. The entire seventh floor of the building on Terhulpsesteenweg is uninhabitable, and the apartment below also suffered severe water damage, rendering it temporarily uninhabitable.
