Over 18,000 tickets were sold for the 10-day Nuits Botaniques event, according to organisers in a statement released on Monday.
The event took place in part of the capital from 15 to 25 May. Last year, 27,000 people attended the event. For this year’s edition, organisers altered their economic model. They chose to offer a slightly more expensive ticket that granted access to all stages.
"Changing a formula, especially one that is over thirty years old and well-established, is always challenging," the statement read. "Here, the gamble appears successful. The public appreciates the formula, and so do the artists."
During the first weekend, fans and curious attendees enjoyed performances from returning acts like Osees and The Jesus Lizard, the highly anticipated show by Michelle Gurevich, and the debut metal edition of Obsidian Dust.
The event also featured performances by Azealia Banks and Alabaster DePlume, alongside emerging artists such as Theodora, Yoa, and Miki.
Other discoveries included Jacob Alon, Lella Fadda, Mark William Lewis, Ellis D, SLAG, Ralphie Choo, Adés The Planet, Green Milk From The Planet Orange, and Moin.
In the final weekend, artists like Greentea Peng and Stereolab concluded the festival.
