'Hub.brussels' helped local companies raise €34 million in 2024

Hub.brussels, the Brussels Agency for Entrepreneurship, supported more businesses in 2024, according to its annual activity report released on Tuesday. It also managed to secure €34 million in funding for Brussels companies.

Last year, hub.brussels handled 5,171 support cases, nearly half of which were international through its economic and trade offices in about 30 countries. This marks a 12% increase over six years, from 4,629 cases in 2019.

In terms of fundraising, hub.brussels assisted 66 Brussels-based companies in securing over €34 million in external funding, including €13 million from European sources and €21 million from traditional financial sources.

Additionally, the hub.info service provided 8,576 pieces of advice to both aspiring entrepreneurs and established companies. This number has remained relatively stable annually.

Most inquiries related to administrative processes (16%), public assistance (15%), and business creation projects (15%).

Finally, the Brussels Agency for Entrepreneurship, boasting a 93% satisfaction rate among its beneficiaries, organised 622 collective actions in 2024, such as seminars, information sessions, events, and economic missions. This represents a 32% increase compared to 2019, with participation reaching 20,787 individuals, a 57% rise from 2019.
