Weekday evening disruptions will take place on Metro Line 5 this June, July, and August. The disruptions, announced by STIB, are to install a new signalling system.
The planned disruptions between stations Mérode and Herrmann-Debroux will run from 10 June to 20 August. On the affected weekdays, services will stop running after 21:00. Weekends and public holidays are unaffected.
The specific dates are in June from 10-12 (Tuesday-Thursday); 16-19 to (Monday-Thursday), and 23-26 (Monday-Thursday).
In July, the dates affected are 2-3 (Wednesday-Thursday) and 7-10 (Monday-Thursday. The final phase is from 18-20 (Monday-Wednesday).
On the affected dates, STIB will provide bus shuttles between the affected stations.
The new signalling system is being installed to increase frequencies on Metro Lines 1 and 5. The new system will replace the current signalling system which has been in place since 1976.
