Today, the weather will start cloudy with a chance of local precipitation before turning generally dry with increasingly wide sunny intervals in the afternoon, according to early morning forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute.

In the morning, there will initially be some scattered sunny spells in the central and eastern regions. However, cloud cover is expected to increase from the west and southwest.

In the afternoon, there will be more sunny spells across many areas, though some clouds may linger in places.

The weather is expected to remain generally dry, although there may still be some showers in the east and southeast this morning, which could be thundery. Maximum temperatures will range from 18°C on the coast to 21°C or 22°C locally in central areas, with a generally moderate west to west-southwest wind.

At the coast, the wind is expected to become fairly strong in the afternoon.
