The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) issued a warning on Wednesday about the activities of the Arbionis-be.com website, stressing that it is not authorised to offer investment services in Belgium and is considered fraudulent.
According to the FSMA, Arbionis-be.com uses fake testimonials from celebrities, including deceased individuals, and promises clients “very high profits, often far exceeding any realistic return,” in a short period.
The site has been labelled a “fraudulent trading platform” and has been added to the list of companies to avoid, which is available on the FSMA’s website.
The Authority also notes that other sites are being used by the platform’s owners to try to deceive less experienced investors.
It emphasises that “Arbionis-be.com is not authorised to provide financial services and products in Belgium.”
