Belgian wheelchair tennis star wins doubles at Roland Garros

Belgian wheelchair tennis star Luna Gryp clinched the junior doubles title at Roland Garros on Friday.

Paired with Brazil’s Vitoria Miranda, she triumphed on the Paris clay in the final against American Sabina Czauz and Emma Gjerseth of Sweden, with a score of 6-3, 6-2 in just 55 minutes.

In the singles tournament, Gryp, a 16-year-old from West Flanders, was defeated in the first round on Thursday. She lost  7-6, 6-2 to Czauz.

In the boys’ junior wheelchair tennis competition, Alexander Lantermann did not win any matches in either singles or doubles.
