After years of absence, the Jazz Middelheim Festival made a strong comeback this weekend in Antwerp, attracting 11,000 attendees according to organisers.
The event is now managed by the teams behind the Paradise City and Brosella festivals, with support from the City of Antwerp.
The festival’s date was shifted to the extended Pentecost weekend, as opposed to its previous mid-August schedule. Despite the change in timing and the rainy weather, the organisers expressed satisfaction with the turnout.
The festival began on Friday in Den Brandt Park in Wilrijk, Antwerp, and ended on Monday.
