More than 100 people have been arrested during protests against immigration enforcement raids in Los Angeles since Monday evening, according to police reports.

Ninety-six individuals were detained for refusing to disperse from an unlawful assembly, while fourteen others were arrested for looting. An additional three were taken into custody for resisting arrest, attempting an assault with a deadly weapon, or causing damage.

Two police officers required hospital treatment following the incidents.

Additionally, police reported that several shops were looted.

The protests in Los Angeles, opposing Trump’s stringent immigration policy, have been ongoing for several days. In response, Trump sent 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines to the city, against the wishes of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

On Monday, Newsom filed an emergency motion in a federal court to block members of the National Guard and the marines from joining immigration raids in Los Angeles.

"Trump is using the US military against American citizens," Newsom wrote on X.
