Ryanair has announced it will now impose a €500 fine on disruptive passengers.
The Irish airline stated this is a "minimum" amount, and it will also seek further compensation from those involved.
The fine is applies to passengers who are removed from a Ryanair aircraft due to their misconduct or disruptive behaviour.
Ryanair hopes this new policy will deter unacceptable behaviour from passengers on its flights.
The airline regularly deals with problematic passenger behaviour, including incidents involving significant alcohol consumption.
