Two suspects were arrested in early June in Brussels in a police operation which dismantled cannabis plantations in Schaerbeek and Koekelberg.

The investigation started in late March following a vehicle check by the anti-aggression brigade. The vehicle’s occupants were suspected of involvement in cannabis cultivation in Belgium, as incriminating items were found inside.

The Narcotics section of the Brussels Capital-Ixelles police zone took over the case. A thorough investigation led to the dismantling of a drug trafficking network.

Two cannabis plantations were dismantled. The police seized nearly €20,000 in cash, 1.5 kg of cannabis, and 2,000 cannabis plants.
