A reconstruction of the so-called “swingers’ club murder,” in which 57-year-old Bert H. from Neeroeteren (Maaseik) was killed, is scheduled for Thursday at the 7Sins swingers club in Maaseik.
In September, the lifeless body of Bert H. was found in Maarheeze, Netherlands, wrapped in plastic on the backseat of a Renault Laguna with a Belgian number plate. An investigation was launched by Dutch police, with support from the Limburg Federal Judicial Police (FGP).
Detectives soon focused their attention on the swingers club in Maaseik, where a thorough search and evidence collection took place. The club’s operators, 33-year-old Siri C. and her 51-year-old husband Eric I., were arrested and taken into custody.
A month later, the ex-partner of the club’s co-owner, a 40-year-old Dutchman, was also detained.
The three suspects, along with their lawyers, will demonstrate to investigators and the examining magistrate their involvement in the violent death of the businessman from Maaseik.
