A huge sum of money is up for grabs in tonight’s Euromillions draw after Tuesday’s draw yielded no winners again.

The jackpot for the draw on Friday, 13 June is €250 million – an amount won only once before in the history of the game.

A lucky Austrian player scooped the record sum in March, making them the biggest Euromillions winner in history.

Last Tuesday, no player managed to win the jackpot, though five players came close, picking five correct numbers and a single ‘lucky star’.

In order to win big, players must pick seven correct numbers – five main numbers and two ‘lucky star’ numbers. Draws are held every Tuesday and Friday evening.

What happens if nobody wins tonight?

Once it reaches €250 million, the EuroMillions jackpot is capped.

If it continues not to be won, the jackpot will stay at €250million for a further four draws until it reaches the fifth ‘Must Be Won’ draw.

In the 'Must Be Won' draw, if no ticket matches all five main numbers and two Lucky Stars, the entire jackpot prize will roll down into the lower prize tier where there will be at least one winner.

Euromillions was launched in February 2004 in Paris. Nine countries participate: Belgium, France, the UK, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland.

There have been 41 Belgian winners since 2005. In February, a Belgian player won the €52 million jackpot. The highest amount ever won in Belgium is €168 million.

Let's hope Friday the 13th will be lucky for somebody.
