Iran’s participation in the sixth round of nuclear negotiations scheduled for Sunday with the United States in Oman remains uncertain, as reported by an Iranian state media outlet on Saturday.
This statement follows Israeli attacks on Iranian territory, to which Tehran has retaliated. “The decision we will make for Sunday remains uncertain,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei regarding the talks in Oman, according to the official Irna news agency.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry questions the value of continuing discussions after the Israeli offensive, which targeted multiple sites in Iran. “You cannot claim to want to negotiate while allowing Israel to violate Iran’s territorial integrity,” Esmaeil Baqaei stated, as reported by the Tasnim news agency.
