A fire in several buildings in a historic village in southern Germany has injured at least two people, including a firefighter and a resident, according to the German news agency dpa on Saturday evening.
The fire occurred in the village of Villingen-Schwenningen located in the state of Baden-Württemberg. A firefighter sustained injuries, and a resident was hospitalised due to smoke inhalation, confirmed a spokesperson for the local fire brigade.
One building partially collapsed, and two others are also at risk of falling, she added.
Firefighters have brought the blaze under control, but residents have not yet been allowed to return to the area. At least 100 firefighters are at the scene. German police were unable to provide information on the cause of the fire.
