As of 1 April, personnel data from Brussels’ residential care centres, rehabilitation centres, and day care centres is now automatically forwarded to the funding application Curas, reducing administrative burdens, according to the Brussels institution for welfare and social protection, Iriscare.

The DmfA declaration (Déclaration Multifonctionnelle / Multifunctionele Aangifte) is an electronic submission that employers file quarterly to the National Social Security Office (RSZ). It includes comprehensive information about staff, such as employment, performance, and wages. This data is crucial for accurately processing social security contributions and funding care facilities.

Previously, Brussels care facilities had to report these details not only to the RSZ but also manually input them into Curas, the application used by Iriscare for appropriate financing of care facilities in the Brussels region. This process was time-consuming and prone to errors.

The new automatic linkage eliminates this extra workload, reducing both the possibility of errors and processing time.

Tania Dekens, a leading official at Iriscare, stated, “With this automatic connection, we are taking another step towards smoother and more reliable service. We aim to fully support care facilities in their core mission, without needless administrative burdens. Correct funding begins with accurate data, and this innovation assists us in that goal.”
