A man was seriously injured in a stabbing incident that occurred overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Brussels municipality of Forest, according to the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office, confirming a report by Bruzz.
The incident took place on Avenue Monte Carlo in Forest. For reasons still to be determined, two men became involved in a fight that ended in a stabbing. One of the men, who was seriously injured, was taken to hospital.
"The suspect has already been questioned and is now in custody," explained the prosecutor’s office spokesperson, Laura Demullier.
"At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the federal judicial police laboratory visited the scene, and a forensic doctor has been appointed to examine the victim’s injuries."
Authorities have launched an investigation into attempted murder.
