President Donald Trump announced late Saturday night that the United States conducted a “highly successful” strike on three Iranian nuclear sites.

The targets included the Fordo facility, south of Tehran, with a full payload of bombs, Trump revealed in a post on Truth Social. He confirmed that all aircraft have now exited Iranian airspace after targeting the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan sites.

Strategic B-2 stealth bombers, the only aircraft capable of carrying powerful GBU-57 bunker-busting bombs, launched from a U.S. base on Saturday.

Experts agree that the United States is uniquely capable of destroying deeply buried Iranian nuclear facilities, such as Fordo. The GBU-57, a 13-ton warhead, can penetrate dozens of metres underground before detonating.

“All planes returned safely. Congratulations to our incredible American soldiers. No other army in the world could have achieved this,” Trump further stated. Emphasising peace, he wrote in capital letters, “The time has come to make peace,” on the ninth day of the conflict between Iran and Israel.
