On Friday, the murder of Carmel D., the wife of former head of Goodyear's Middle East, Africa and Europe division, was reconstructed in the Brussels municipality of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.

The 61-year-old woman was killed in her flat in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre in mid-March. Chris D.'s private secretary, Greet V. (54), was arrested as a suspect in the murder.

It was Chris D. himself who alerted the police on Monday 17 March after finding his wife's lifeless body when he returned home. According to the Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office, the autopsy revealed that the victim had four wounds to the chest and abdomen, caused by a blunt or sharp object. Three luxury watches were also stolen.

Two weeks after the murder, Greet V. was arrested during a search of her home in Steenokkerzeel. The investigating judge charged her with murder and possession of a weapon one day later, on Saturday 5 April.
