Following a previous strike on 3 April, BNP Paribas Fortis and trade unions have reached an agreement to transfer 580 customer service staff to Accenture, an external employer, as announced by Le Soir on Saturday.

At the end of January 2025, BNP Paribas Fortis announced its intention to outsource part of the activities and staff of its Client Service Centre and to integrate them, from 2026, into a specific Belgian entity within the company Accenture. In total, more than 500 employees would be affected.

The affected staff will transfer to a new Belgian subsidiary of Accenture on 1 January 2026, pending approval from the National Bank of Belgium for the subsidiary’s establishment.

A collective agreement, known as a cao 32bis, will be signed next week to secure workers’ rights during the employer transition.

The agreement guarantees 24 months of job security, ensuring that working conditions, salaries, pay scales, seniority leave, and various insurance benefits provided by the bank will be upheld by Accenture.
