On Sunday morning, low clouds and mist may appear in some areas, but most places will start the day sunny, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).

Gradually, clouds will increase, leading to partly cloudy skies, although coastal areas are expected to remain mostly sunny. Temperatures will range from 23°C at the coast to 25°C-26°C in the Ardennes, with most other locations reaching around 27°C-28°C. In Belgian Lorraine and the Campine, temperatures could rise to 29°C or possibly 30°C.

On Sunday evening and overnight into Monday, the sky will clear up again, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 18°C.

Monday will see a rise in temperatures, with highs between 30°C and 33°C in most regions, although it will be cooler at the coast with temperatures around 27°C. The weather will remain sunny with a light breeze, and an afternoon sea breeze may develop at the coast.

The heat will intensify on Tuesday with sunny conditions and temperatures between 29°C and 35°C, possibly higher in some localities. The wind will be light and variable, and night-time temperatures will remain warm, around or above 20°C.

Wednesday is set to be very warm again, with temperatures reaching or exceeding 35°C in much of the country, while the coastal area will be cooler at 25°C. The day will be mostly sunny, but more unstable air will bring thunderstorms in the evening and overnight. The wind will be gentle.

On Thursday, much cooler air will move across the country, resulting in changeable weather with rain and thunderstorms, mainly affecting the eastern half of the country. Temperatures will range between 19°C and 24°C, with winds generally moderate.
