During the night from Friday to Saturday, no festival-goers had to sleep at Leuven railway station. After Day 1 of Rock Werchter, around 100 festival-goers turned out to be late back in Leuven. They thus missed their night train. According to the SNCB and the organisation, all ticketed people were on time after day two.
Since this edition of Rock Werchter, the night trains in Leuven do not wait as long for latecomers. Other years, they did, sometimes to the frustration of other festival-goers who were on time and had to wait.
After the first festival day, the adjusted punctuality caused some 100 out of 1,600 travellers to be late for the night train. SNCB and the festival organisers therefore stressed on Friday that it was best for everyone to leave the meadow on time. They seemingly succeeded: "Everyone who wanted to take the train did," SNCB reported Saturday afternoon.
