An explosive device was thrown at a house in Etterbeek on Saturday night, said the Montgomery police zone, confirming a report in several media. No injuries were reported.
An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident. For the moment, the police can only confirm that an explosion took place and that a fire broke out.
The fire brigade responded quickly. Once on site, they found no fire but traces of an explosion. Although the house had suffered damage, it was not declared uninhabitable.
The bomb disposal unit was still on site in Rue du Vindictive on Sunday morning, according to RTL.
The police are extensively looking for the perpetrator(s), but have come up with no conclusive report so far.
