The Tour & Taxis Maritime Station in Brussels will once again host the BD Comic Strip Festival from 26 to 28 September, announced the organisers on Thursday.
This year, the event will feature a pink and purple theme inspired by Belgian writer and illustrator Alix Garin, renowned for her graphic novels Ne m’oublie pas and Impénétrable.
Alongside Garin, comic enthusiasts can explore a range of exhibitions across the site and the city. These include a preview of La nature by Wauter Mannaert at the BD Museum from 4 October 2025.
Another exhibition will celebrate the children’s series heroine Brume, created by Carine Hinder and Jérôme Pélissier, and a third will honour 50 years of Léonard, the iconic character.
Works by graduates from the ESA Saint-Luc in Brussels and the LUCA School of Arts in Brussels and Ghent will also be showcased.
In addition to the exhibitions, comic fans can attend conferences, participate in various activities, get their favourite books signed, and enjoy the famous giant balloons.
This edition will not only feature the essential manga space but also shine a light on Dutch-language comics. Moreover, the Atomium Comic Strip Prizes will announce their winners on 26 September.
Parallel to the festival, the first Neuvième Art art fair will make its debut at the Customs House of Tour & Taxis.
