The Rijvers Festival in Lievegem, East Flanders, is introducing five notable innovations this summer, including a revamped festival site, a new food zone, and a zip line from the VTM programme Special Forces, with part of the site being powered by 170m2 of solar panels to enhance sustainability.

The organisers report that ticket sales are proceeding at a record pace. For Friday, 15 August, featuring Suzan & Freek, 91% of the tickets have already been sold. Strong sales figures are evident on other days as well, bolstered by a growing interest from the Netherlands, specifically a doubling of camping bookings from Zeeland Flanders.

Rijvers Festival has been a staple in the summer festival scene since its inception in 2017. More than 34,000 visitors attended in 2023, but the event set a new record in 2024 with 50,273 attendees. The upcoming edition will take place from 14 to 17 August, featuring six stages and over 100 artists.
