The Federal Government has reached its summer agreement

Federal government leaders have finalised their summer agreement, Prime Minister Bart De Wever has announced.

The agreement was reached on Monday around 4 a.m. after another night of negotiations.

Immediately after, Prime Minister De Wever held the first press conference of the legislative session, accompanied by the Deputy Prime Ministers in the cabinet meeting room.

De Wever outlined the key aspects of this summer agreement: pension reform, tax reform, modernisation and flexibilisation of the labour market, and the framework agreement on healthcare legislation.

The cabinet also confirmed the merger of the six police districts.
