Pairi Daiza Zoo welcomed 2.65 million visitors last year, marking a 16.3% increase compared to 2023, according to its annual report released on Friday.
The revenue reached €138.9 million, an 18.7% rise, with a net profit of €16 million, up from €9.5 million in 2023.
This growth is attributed to the rise in visitor numbers, the opening of a third shop dedicated to minerals, and the expansion of accommodation, which boasted over 90% occupancy, the zoo reported. It also inaugurated its ninth theme area, “The Islands of the Rising Sun,” inspired by Japanese landscapes.
Located in Brugelette, Hainaut, the park made a record investment of €126.6 million for the fiscal year ending 31 January 2025, primarily aimed at expanding infrastructure and enhancing visitor experiences. Major achievements included continued construction of a new equatorial belt-themed area, the addition of 21 new rooms, bringing the total to 121, and the launch of the immersive exhibition “Préhi-Daiza.”
According to an independent study by EKLO, SEGEFA-ULiège, and HEC-Consulting Group, Pairi Daiza’s operations generated €145.2 million in economic benefits in 2024 and created 3,167 direct and indirect jobs.
