Heavy rainfall hit Flemish Brabant on Sunday, affecting areas such as Leuven, Londerzeel, Meise, and Buggenhout.
Streets were temporarily flooded, but the water later receded in the afternoon without causing significant damage. Local police reported around 11:30 that Londerzeel and Meise experienced flooding, with water unable to drain quickly enough in at least ten streets.
Leuven was also impacted, with Marc Vranckx from the local police noting that minor weather disruptions caused minimal damage.
Lightning struck, temporarily disabling some traffic lights, but this had no further consequences.
