The local police of Brussels North (covering the areas of Schaerbeek, Evere, and Saint-Josse-ten-Noode) have arrested 14 individuals linked to drug trafficking around Brussels North Station since late June, the Brussels public prosecutor announced on Tuesday.

The investigation began in April 2025 after several notably violent incidents in the Northern Quarter suggested a territorial conflict between drug gangs.

Brussels North police launched an inquiry and conducted eleven raids on 30 June, primarily in the Northern Quarter. These operations involved the Centralised Judicial Brigade of the Brussels North police zone, supported by the Assistance Team and the canine unit.

During these raids, officers seized €36,000 in cash, two illegal firearms, various other weapons, 940 grams of cocaine, 700 grams of hashish, 3.8 kilograms of ecstasy pills, multiple prescription drugs classified as narcotics, along with two vehicles and three electric scooters.

In total, 14 individuals have been placed under arrest warrants by the investigating judge.
