The Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum in Poland has launched a campaign against Holocaust denial on social media.

Its online tool, 'Stop Denial,' allows people to counter Holocaust denial arguments using “documents, photographs, testimonies, or results of historical research,” according to the Museum.

It includes a guide explaining how users can respond to denial content on social media by commenting on posts and directing others to the 'Stop Denial' website.

Museum Director Piotr Cywinski stated in a press release that, in the past, “few could stare survivors in the eyes and coldly claim that all their testimonies were lies.”

“Today, few survivors remain. Thus, antisemitic, xenophobic, and populist voices are rising,” he added.

Museum Spokesperson Bartosz Bartyzel mentioned that the campaign was launched in response to a “wave of denial activity” on social media and in public discussions.

“The best solution, the best aid, the best remedy for misinformation is information,” he stressed.
